2020 Ford F-150 Ecoboost Death Rattle problem and how to fix it

As the name goes, this is a scary problem. You wake up in the morning, jump into your truck, turn it on and are immediately met by a borne chilling rattle. The best way to describe it is 'full metal on metal'. It may be subtle on some days depending on how warm your engine is.

This is caused by worn out Variable Cam Timing(VCT) cam phaser and loss of fluid. The solution is to install redesigned Ford cam phasers and replace worn out timing chain components.
