If you change a component on the GA8HP50Z transmission or if you do a complete assembly replacement, the transmission locks its internal electronic valve bodies out of gear preventing engagement or clutch calibration.
The only way out is to use OEM data to trace serial data streams, mechanical ID verification etc. Trying to force transmission adaption using generic scanners can trigger a permanent lockup rendering the whole transmission mute.
