Manual Transmission

A manual transmission is a type of vehicle transmission that requires the driver to engage manually and disengage gears using a clutch pedal and gear lever.

Automatic Transmission

The automatic transmission does not require the driver to shift gears, making it more comfortable. This transmission helps the driver to concentrate on the road rather than the gears, making it suitable for new drivers.

Continuously Variable Transmission- CVT

The Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) is a special automatic transmission system that uses a pulley system in which two conical pulleys are connected by a belt that runs over them.

Intelligent Manual Transmission – IMT

This system allows manual gear shifting without using the clutch. The IMT incorporates an actuator that engages the clutch based on sensor input when the gear stick is manipulated. The driver retains control of gear changes and can also optimize fuel consumption.

Dual Clutch Transmission- DCT

The Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) uses two clutches to shift gears automatically. It works with gears arranged in odd and even groups - 1, 3, 5 and 2, 4, 6 - each operated by its clutch. Gears are already engaged and ready to go as soon as a gear's maximum rpm is reached, providing smooth and efficient performance.

Automated Manual Transmission- AMT

The AMT is mechanically similar to a manual gearbox, except that the sensors and actuators do the clutch work and shifting. A car with an AMT has no clutch pedal, only an accelerator and brake pedal. AMT also allows manual shifting if required, by pushing the gear lever forward to change up and backward to change down.
