If you hear a loud grinding noise from your front wheels something I can best describe as 'metal on metal' or marbles in a blender, then the main culprit is the Integrated Wheel End(IWE). A loss of vacuum pressure causes the IWE 4WD hubs to partially engage. It's a very unsettling soud and you may think your truck is falling apart. The solution is usually to replace the faulty check valve, vacuum lines, or check if the hub actuator is damaged and replace it.
